June
Nichols received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting from the
University of Kansas in 1969. Two years later she started as an
Apprentice Ocularist, and in 1976 was certified a Journeyman Ocularist
by the U.S. Department of Labor.
The National
Examining Board of Ocularists (NEBO) began its Board Certification
program in 1981. In 1983, within three months of opening her
practice in Des Plaines, Illinois, June was asked to be the Staff
Ocularist for the Collaborative Ocular Melanoma Study (COMS).
Since opening her
practice, June's professional honors have included:

Away from the office, June fosters a passion for cooking, a love of
dancing, art and gardening, a close affection for family and friends,
and a loving marriage to Ed for many years.
Bev
Woltman joined June in 2001 as an Apprentice Ocularist. She
became a board-certified Ocularist in 2007. Bev
holds a BA in Fine Arts from Elmhurst College and has 10 years of
experience in eye care. After working for several years in an
ophthalmology office, she joined the Northwestern Dept. of
Ophthalmology, serving as an Ophthalmologic Technician and Technical
Supervisor.
